The Waterman C-2 and C-8 Ditch Gates are the first in the market to be made entirely from stainless steel, which delivers long‑term strength, corrosion resistance, and dependable performance in environments that are constantly exposed to water, sediment, and fluctuating weather.
Two Different Mounting Options
The C-2 Ditch Gates are offered with two mounting configurations:
1. Standard spigot‑back, featuring a cylindrical extension that fits directly into a reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) or corrugated metal pipe (CMP).
2. Type 4 mounting, which uses an extended, flanged frame designed to be embedded into plastic irrigation pipe (PIP).
The C-8 (STD) versatile neoprene sealing design allows for tight seal and easy installation for most typical irrigation pipes, simplifying the ordering process.
C-2 Advantage: Simple, 2-Piece Design
The simple two‑piece design offers reliable performance because the rolled seating surface naturally compresses the slide into the frame, creating a tight, dependable seal without the need for complex hardware.
C-8 Advantage: Locking Mechanism
The C-8 Ditch Gate’s cam‑lock system provides a practical way to secure the slide at a midpoint, giving operators precise control over water flow without needing to fully open or close the gate.
